Just Dance Summer Classes 2013

Just Dance are pleased to be offering classes in the Summer holidays. The children love their weekly dance classes, so why should they stop in the holidays?

We will be offering classes on Tuesdays at NDGA in Tunbridge Wells. You can book a place for 4, 5 or 6 of the dates below, allowing you to work around any time you have booked away on holiday.

16th and 23rd July, 6th 13th, 20th and 27th August

There are classes for everyone! Classes will be 45 minutes long and cost £5.25 per lesson.

9:15-10:00am                     Baby Ballet (2 1/2 to 4yrs)
10:00-10:45am                   Kids Ballet (4 to 7 yrs)
10:45-11:30am                   Kids Tap (4 to 7 yrs)
11:30am-12:15pm              Kids Modern/Street (4 to 7 yrs)
1:00 – 1:45pm                    Junior Ballet (8 to 12 yrs)
1:45-2:30pm                      Junior Tap (8 to 12 yrs)
2:30 – 3:15pm                    Junior Modern/Street (8 to 12 yrs)
3:15 – 4:00pm                    Senior Ballet (13 to 18 yrs)
4:00 – 4:45pm                    Senior Tap (13 to 18 yrs)
4:45 – 5:30pm                    Senior Modern/Street (13 to 18 yrs)

12th March 2013, SNOW CAUSING CANCELLED CLASSES!

Roll on Spring is what I say! I am ready for barbecues and paddling pools!

Tuesday 12th March- apologies but the following classes will be cancelled due to the snow:
– ALL classes at Brenchley Memorial Hall, these classes will be replaced on 26th March which will also be watching week.
– ALL classes at Holmewood House, the school is shut.
– ALL classes at Groombridge, these classes will be reimbursed.

Tuesday 12th March – NOT cancelled
– Classes at The Schools at Somerhill are going ahead as the school is open.
– Adult Ballet at NDGA WILL be on tonight if you can make it.

Happy Birthday Just Dance!

10 years ago in January 2003 ‘Just Dance’ started on a Tuesday afternoon in Horsmonden with just 3 classes! Now we offer Tap, Modern, Ballet, Street Dance and Musical theatre classes in and around Tunbridge Wells. Wow, doesn’t time fly when you’re having fun!

Today’s Classes (28/1/13)!

Huge apologies but Mrs Harper is very unwell with a sickness bug.

Therefore the following classes will be cancelled today and replaced at the end of term on 25th March:

NDGA Tunbridge Wells Baby Ballet 9:00-9:45am
NDGA Tunbridge Wells Baby Ballet 9:45-10:30am
NDGA Tunbridge Wells Tiny Tots 10:30-11:45am

Cancelled Classes due to the Snow Jan 2013

Monday 21st January – classes running as usual.
If classes are going to be cancelled it will be posted on the website immediately. Please check before you leave for your dance class.

Saturday 19th January – classes running as usual,
Miss McCann who teaches in Paddock Wood is coming from Orpington. The roads look clear so she is coming to class. However if she gets stuck on the way I will post any cancelled classes here immediately.
All classes at Horsmonden with Mrs Harper are running as normal but please don’t forget they are at the Methodist Church on Furnace Lane today instead of the Village hall.

Friday 18th January – apologies but the following classes will be cancelled due to the snow:
Friday 18th January, ALL classes at Rusthall United Reformed Church, these classes will be reimbursed.
Friday 18th January, ALL classes at The Schools at Somerhill, these classes will be reimbursed.
Friday 18th January, Senior Street Dance at Paddock Wood, this class will be reimbursed.
Friday 18th January, ALL classes at Holmewood House School, these classes will be reimbursed.

Musical Theatre Classes

After one very successful musical theatre course this term we are pleased to announce we have more classes running next term starting in January 2013. Classes will be held on Tuesdays in Tunbridge Wells at NDGA and Thursdays in Brenchley.

A mixture of singing, dancing and acting, just like they do in the West End! It’s like being involved in a mini show every week. The classes will be 45 minutes of jam packed fun! The students will work on a ‘routine’ for 3 weeks at a time, from shows such as Matilda the Musical, Sister Act, Shrek, Legally Blonde, Wicked and lots more! By Watching Week they will put on a show in class of the routines they have perfected throughout the term.

Dance Exam Results

Congratulations to all the students who took an exam this summer. We had a marathon 6 days of exams! Students from all our different venues in Tunbridge Wells coming together to take ISTD dance exams in Ballet, Modern and Tap. We have some of the results back already with a 100% pass rate. Students have been awarded mainly Merits and Distinctions. All exams results will be handed out by the teacher the first lesson back in September. Congratulations to you all, the hard work certainly paid off!

The Royal Ballet!

Huge congratulations to Lily O’Regan who has been accepted into The Royal Ballet school from September. Lily currently attends dance classes in Modern, Ballet and Tap at Groombridge in Tunbridge Wells with Just Dance. Lily also won the Just Dance shield for the student with the most potential in 2011. Well done Lily we are so proud of you!

Dance Exams

Good luck to all those students who have a dance exam coming up. I know you have all worked so hard in your dance classes and I am sure you will be amazing! Just remember to enjoy it and smile.
(Parents please remember we have dance classes at many locations around Tunbridge Wells so the exams are going to be held at a central venue, The Schools at Somerhill)

The September Timetable is complete!

It is never easy but the September timetable is complete! I have to get it right as we stick to the same timetable for the whole academic year, so fingers crossed I haven’t made any mistakes! Like always I am trying to keep the dance classes, venues, times and days the same as much as possible to help with juggling hectic family life.
