Imperial Classical Ballet with the ISTD

Pre-School Ballet

Details of our Pre-School classes can be found here
Children in Pre-School Ballet are ideally aged 2 1/2 years old up to when they start school. Once they start Reception they move up to Pre-Primary Ballet.

Pre-Primary Ballet

We follow the ISTD Pre-Primary syllabus and include some of our own exercises too. Children are ideally in Reception at school

Primary Ballet

This is the children’s first opportunity to take an exam, usually held at the end of Year 1 or Year 2.
Children go into the exam room with a partner, without their dance teacher. There will be the examiner and the pianist in the exam room.
